'.The Painted Vessels collection is inspired by my love for antique ceramics, especially hand-painted pieces from China and Japan. My mother has collected blue and white ceramics for years, including Chinese, English, and Italian-origin pieces in her collection. The beautifully painted scenes have always intrigued me, and I have been incorporating my interpreted versions of these pieces in my artwork for years. This collection is a more-direct ode to the art of functional ceramics, appreciating the fanciful scenes of nature with a modern twist. The border on each piece creates a frame, giving these vases, bowls, and jars a bold, decorative home in a playful color palette.'
