These works feature a variety of subject matter as they exude vivid color paired with distressed texture that comes together to create something extra special for the eye to enjoy.

 

This collection was made for pairing! Collect two birds with florals or mix it up and combine birds with a still life of blooms and fruit. You truly cannot go wrong with any pairing combination.

 

The artist states, “This collection celebrates the joyful abundance of the garden through birds, flowers and fruit. Painted from a blend of gathered still-life objects and my imagination, these works reflect my love for lush florals and chinoiserie. I also leaned into my passion for distressed surfaces and patina, challenging myself to paint with looser brushstrokes and scraped-on layers of color. As I released the need for precision, I discovered a richer sense of humanity and emotional depth in those ‘imperfect’ marks, in the same way a scratched antique table or chipped ceramic vase hints at the people who used and loved it. And over time these paintings, too, developed their own history—layered and full of life. My hope is that these works offer a glimpse of the beauty found in imperfection and the joy that comes from welcoming nature into our homes."
